The quality of marine transportation services, especially related to the specifications of
the ships used, is a crucial factor in supporting the efficiency, safety, and comfort of sea
travel. The Marine Traffic Management Information System (SIMLALA) is a web-based
online application used to submit requests for public services for marine traffic and
transportation online, and facilitates monitoring of the service application process in order
to meet the satisfaction of service users. The purpose of this study is to analyze and
determine the effect of the quality of ship specification services on the marine traffic
management information system on the satisfaction of service users and to analyze and
determine the effect of the quality of ship specification services on the smoothness of the
marine transportation business licensing process. The approach method used is a
quantitative method, namely research that emphasizes its analysis in hypothesis testing
and relies on conclusions whose results are based on the amount or quantity of data
through statistical analysis that focuses on numerical data. Data collection techniques use
observation techniques, literature studies and questionnaires. The results of this study
indicate that the variables of ship specification service quality and marine traffic
management information systems have a strong and significant influence on service user
satisfaction in submitting ship specification documents. This study recommended to carry
out periodic system update and maintenance transformations to improve performance in
order to add services that provide convenience and make it easier to submit ship
specifications
