Abstract:
Rayhan Falah Avanza Rabbani, Abieza.2025. "The Influence of Ship Agency Services on Ship Undocking Timeliness at PT Benua Indah Gemaca"
This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of ship agency services on ship docking punctuality at PT Benua Indah Gemaca. The background of this study is based on the importance of time efficiency in ship operations, where delays in the docking process can cause wasteful costs and disruption to shipping schedules. The problems identified include limited facilities and infrastructure, slow processing of clearance out documents, and lack of coordination between agents and related stakeholders.
The research method used is a quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires to 30 respondents consisting of employees PT Benua Indah Gemaca, employees of KSOP Class 1 Banten, and users of PT Benua Indah Gemaca services. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability with the results that all statement items are valid and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha value for variable X = 0.934 and for variable Y-0.929).
The results of the simple linear regression test show that ship agency services (X) have a significant effect on the punctuality of ship undocking (Y) With a constant value is 6.379 and a regression value of 0.832. And in the correlation coefficient test, the correlation value is 0.852 which is classified as very strong. The coefficient of determination (R) is 0.726, meaning that 72.6% of the variation in punctuality of ship undocking can be explained by the variable of ship agency services, while the remaining 27.4% is influenced by other factors not studied. The t-test shows a calculated t value of 8.615 which is greater than the t table (1.701), so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect between ship agency services and punctuality of ship undocking. Thus, the better the ship agency services, the more the punctuality of undocking will increase.
