PENGARUH BIAYA PERBAIKAN CONTAINER DAN DOWNTIME TERHADAP SHIPMENT IMPORT PT EVERGEEN SHIPPING AGENCY INDONESIA

Adrin, Syifa Elnathia. 2025. “The Impact of Container Repair Costs and Downtime on Import Shipments at PT Evergreen Shipping Agency Indonesia” This research aims to analyze the influence of container repair costs and operational downtime on import shipment performance at PT Evergreen Shipping Agency Indonesia. The study was motivated by the increasing challenges in managing damaged containers and the associated downtime, both of which negatively impact delivery efficiency and increase operational costs. The quantitative research approach was applied, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 33 employees across various operational divisions. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, as well as multiple linear regression analysis. The findings show that both container repair costs and downtime have a significant effect on the smoothness of import shipment activities. High repair expenses and frequent operational halts lead to shipment delays, decreased customer satisfaction, and rising logistics expenses. The simultaneous analysis also confirms that the two independent variables jointly have a statistically significant impact on import shipment performance. The results of this study highlight the need for PT Evergreen Shipping Agency Indonesia to enhance container maintenance strategies, reduce repair time, and manage downtime effectively. By optimizing these two factors, the company can improve delivery timeliness, lower operational costs, and maintain its competitiveness in the global shipping industry.
