The research methodusedincompiling this thesis is a qualitative descriptive research method. To take the analysis, the author uses a descriptive analysis metod as an analysis technique that provides factsand explanations regarding the research object the describes an incident or event that
occurred on the ship related to the discussion of efforts to improve the performanceofinjector fogging on the main engine for smooth operations on the MV. Ifama Mas, basedon obsevations of direct experience from researchers by looking at existing data andfacts. Based on the results of research that has been conducted by researchers on the MV. IfamaMas when researchers carry out sea practices, it can be concluded that the causal factorsthat affect fuel fogging performance are divided into two, namely 1) The occurrenceofcarbon deposits at the tip of the nozzle affects fuel distribution. 2) The combinationofpoor fogging and a non-ideal air-fuel mixture. The suggestion to work optimallyistocarry out regular maintenance on a system that supports engine performance.
