PENGARUH PENERAPAN SISTEM ORBIT TERHADAP OPTIMALIASI KEGIATAN BONGKAR MUAT DAN KEPELABUHANAN DI PT PELABUHAN TIGA BERSAUDARA SAMARINDA

Abstract

Dinova, Muhammad Dito Alfito. 2025. “The Effect of ORBIT System Implementation on the Optimization of Cargo Handling and Port Operations in Muara Berau Samarinda.” This research aims to analyze the effect of the ORBIT system implementation on the optimization of cargo handling and port operations in Muara Berau, Samarinda. ORBIT is a web-based information system developed by PT. Pelabuhan Tiga Bersaudara in accordance with the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. PM 8 of 2022, which requires every Port Business Entity to have its own application. Integrated with the national Inaportnet system, ORBIT is designed to enhance efficiency and transparency in cargo handling processes. The study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 61 respondents and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show that the ORBIT system has a significant impact on optimizing cargo handling and port operations. This is evidenced by a coefficient of determination value of 71.5%, indicating that ORBIT contributes 71.5% to operational efficiency at the port. In conclusion, the implementation of the ORBIT system improves speed, accuracy, and efficiency in cargo handling and ship schedule management at Muara Berau. It is recommended that the system continue to be developed and optimized to fully support port activities.
