Crane Condition on the Delay of Coal Loading on Vessels at Kaliorang Anchorage as
Handled by PT. Bahari Eka Nusantara, Sangkulirang Branch"
This study aims to analyze the influence of barge arrival schedules and ship crane
conditions on the delay in coal loading operations at Kaliorang Anchorage, which is
represented by PT. Bahari Eka Nusantara, Sangkulirang branch. Coal loading is a crucial
activity in the maritime logistics chain, and any disruption may lead to operational delays,
vessel congestion, and economic losses such as demurrage charges. The research applies
a quantitative method with an associative approach. Data were obtained through
observation, literature study, and questionnaires distributed to 45 respondents, consisting
of stevedores and ship crane operators. The results indicate that both the inconsistency of
barge arrival schedules and the suboptimal condition of ship cranes significantly affect
the delay in coal loading. These findings emphasize the importance of synchronized
scheduling, regular equipment maintenance, and enhanced coordination among
stakeholders to improve operational efficiency at Kaliorang Anchorage. |
