Pratama, Bagas Arbimo. 2025. "The Effect of Loading Rate Fluctuations on Floating
Crane Performance in Coal Transhipment at PT Pelayaran Sinar Shipping Indonesia”
Coal transhipment operations via floating cranes at PT Pelayaran Sinar Shipping
Indonesia often face inefficiencies due to unstable loading rate fluctuations. This study
aims to analyze the effect of loading rate fluctuations on transhipment performance. The
research uses a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires from 58
respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data analysis was performed using
Pearson correlation and linear regression tests with SPSS 26.0. The results show that
loading rate fluctuations significantly affect transhipment performance (r = 0.839; R² =
0.704). The regression equation Y = 9.911 + 0.841X indicates that every 1-unit increase
in loading rate improves transhipment performance by 0.841 units. The main factors
causing fluctuations are weather conditions such as wind, waves, and uneven cargo
distribution, followed by technical disruptions in the floating crane. Based on these
findings, it is recommended that the company improve regular weather monitoring,
provide technical training, and conduct periodic SOP evaluations to enhance loading rate
stability and transshipment efficiency. |
