Gas Cleaning System on MT. Victoria Lyra”
This study analyzes the causes and solutions for issues in the Exhaust Gas Cleaning
System (EGCS) on the MT. Victoria Lyra, specifically the malfunctioning of the spray
nozzle and the drop in pressure of the scrubber pump. The root causes are identified in
three areas: human factors (lack of knowledge and communication), methods (irregular
maintenance schedules and insufficient digitalization of the Planned Maintenance
System), and machinery (component age and damage). Proposed solutions include
enhancing crew training and communication, optimizing schedules and digitalizing
maintenance, as well as proactive inspection and replacement of components. The aim
is to improve the efficiency of the EGCS, reduce pollution, and ensure regulatory
compliance.
