dc.description.abstract This research is motivated by operasional problems in the diesel generator on MV. Icon Perdana, namely a rapid increase in cooling water temperature from 61 °C to 100 °C within lessthan one minute and a significant drop in lubricating oil pressure from 3,61 bar to 1,7 bar during engine operation. These problems can potentially cause blackouts and reduce the reliability of the generator. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of cooling and lubrication system on the reliability of the diesel generator. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach and multiple linear regressions analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 30 respondents, who were the engine crew of MV. Icon Perdana, direct observations during the author’s one-year sea practice, and secondary data from maintenance reports. The results show that both the cooling and lubrication systems simultaneously have a significations and positive influence on generator engine reliability, with the lubrication system having a more dominant influence than the cooling system (coefficient X2 = 0,434 and X1 = 0,130). The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0,56, indicating that 56% of the variations ing engine influenced by other factors outside this research. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the company improve the frequency of maintenance, use lubricating oil that matches the engine’s specifications, and ensure the cooling system is in optimal condition so that the reliability of the diesel generator can be maintained and the risk of operational failures can be minimized. en_US
