dc.description.abstract Oil tanker is a type of ship specifically designed to transport fuel oil. Oil tankers can be divided into 2 according to the type of oil loaded, namely crude oil tankers and oil product tankers. In the process of loading and unloading oil product tankers, the load pipe system, drop line and main discharge line have a vital role. Therefore, on oil product tankers there are drop line and main discharge line systems on each cargo tank. the temperature in the cargo tank is below the temperature that must be maintained in the provisions of the charter party. If the oil product cargo is not maintained, the cargo will thicken and the oxygen content in the cargo tank will be high. This will have an impact on the loading and unloading process of the ship. This research aims to analyze the performance of the loading and discharging process of oil products to improve time efficiency on the MT. Hafnia Expedite. The study focuses on two main issues frequently encountered during cargo operations: the increase of oxygen content before the discharging process and the suboptimal performance of the drop line piping system. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data collected through direct observation, documentation, and literature review during onboard training on the MT. Hafnia Expedite. The results show that the increase in oxygen content was caused by improper purging procedures that did not align with company regulations, a lack of crew understanding of purging procedures, and insufficient management supervision. Additionally, the inefficiency in the drop line system was caused by material damage, inadequate routine maintenance, and limited technical training for the crew. The study recommends improved technical training and consistent implementation of standard operating procedures, along with enhanced supervision to ensure that loading and discharging operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. en_US
